Background

Biography

Dr. Scott E. Yochim is a board-certified diagnostic radiologist with extensive clinical, leadership, and academic experience across multiple healthcare systems in the United States. He is currently in active clinical practice in Tennessee at MidSouth Imaging & Therapeutics in Germantown, following a distinguished tenure as partner, quality officer, and chair of breast imaging at Intercity Radiology in Montana.

Dr. Yochim completed his radiology residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital and a musculoskeletal imaging fellowship at UC San Diego, after earning both his M.D. and M.B.A. from UCLA and his undergraduate degree in chemistry from Johns Hopkins University, where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.

Throughout his career, he has held numerous leadership roles, including department chair and medical director positions, and has contributed to hospital quality committees and medical executive boards. His clinical expertise spans breast imaging, musculoskeletal radiology, neuroradiology, and advanced imaging modalities, complemented by a strong commitment to quality improvement, education, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Dr. Yochim brings a unique dual-degree perspective — combining his M.D. with an M.B.A. — to healthcare administration and practice management, having served on committees ranging from radiology department leadership to medical staff bylaws and hospital executive bodies across California, Montana, and Tennessee.
